The Star Bar Cafe and Hotel is a modern boutique restaurant/hotel, located in Launceston, Northern Tasmania. We are the proud winner of the Small Business Champion Awards – Tasmania 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Upstairs, enjoy a stay in one of our modern non-smoking ensuite rooms. A variety of rooms ranging from single, twin, double and queen are available. All rooms are fully serviced and in-room breakfast is also available (charges apply). We are conveniently located within the central business district, where day trip and excursion pick up points are only a short walk away.

Enter through our heritage listed facade and be welcomed into a modern dining experience. We offer modern Australian cuisine, authentic wood fired pizzas and a selection of Tasmanian best beers and wines are on tap. For the adventurous, why not try one of the Star Bar’s cocktails. During the day the cafe atmosphere enables you to enjoy a freshly ground Genovese coffee or alternative beverage and a bite to eat with friends. In the winter months an open fireplace and natural gas heater creates a cosy atmosphere on those chilly Tasmanian days.
